Flights run late for ordinary reasons: weather, air traffic, a late inbound aircraft. A delayed flight does not cancel your airport pickup. What it needs is one thing: the driver and you must be working from the same new arrival time.
Match the change to the action
| What changed | What to do |
|---|---|
| Delay of under an hour | Usually nothing if you entered your flight number. Check your messages after landing. |
| Longer delay or overnight delay | Tell RideVie the new arrival time before the original pickup time, and keep your phone on. |
| New flight number or a different date | Send the new flight number and date with your booking code so the pickup can be moved. |
| Landing at a different airport | Contact RideVie at once: this is a different route, so the pickup point, fare and driver availability must be confirmed again. |
What RideVie can do with your flight number
When you enter your flight number at booking, RideVie can compare the scheduled and expected arrival times where flight data is available. If the arrival moves by more than a small threshold, the pickup time can be adjusted and you and the driver are notified. Airline data is not always available for every flight, so please do not rely on it alone: if you know your flight has changed, say so.
How to tell us about a change
- Have your booking code, the new flight number (if any) and the new arrival time ready.
- Reply to your booking confirmation, or use the phone, WhatsApp or Zalo details on the contact page.
- If you manage the booking from an account, you can change the pickup date and time there up to the cut-off shown on the page.
- Wait for a reply that repeats the new pickup time, and use that time from then on.
If you will be late and cannot reach anyone
Drivers plan around the pickup time in your confirmation. A traveller who is not at the meeting point and cannot be reached is treated as a late cancellation, and waiting time beyond the plan can be added to the fare. The cancellation and refund policy explains how this works, so it is worth reading before you travel.
